I Phone 4, 3G or 4G?

I think it's 3G, but is it compatible with 4G?

The iPhone 4 does not use a "4G" air interface. Which is appropriate, considering the only provider with a deployed "4G" network is Sprint.

I hear T-Mobile is rolling out their "4G" network.

Their "4G" offering is HSPA+, which isn't technically a fourth generation interface. It's a "bridge" technology between 3G and 4G, effectively a "faster 3G".

There's also a snowball's chance in hell of Apple doing anything with them.

I thought there was never a "4G" it was only an incentive to buy sprint.
