If you can't find someone to take it off your hands, check this site out. They'll purchase back used electronics. Haven't tried them yet, but I saw a write up about them in either TechCrunch or paidContent.

It is not much to go crazy about really, but the Thunderbolt addition is interesting. Here is a little read on it:
Apple - Thunderbolt: Next-generation high-speed I/O technology.

Would be great for those, I guess, who want to get the absolute best input audio/video from a HD camera, or output too I suppose.

If you are trading in Apple stuff DON'T go there. For Apple stuff you can get a much better value here -

Apple Recycling Program

They offered me $180 and the Apple site offered me $430. Just sayin'

I just bought a new one 3 months ago, can't really see any difference between mine and the new ones. I have an i7 2.8, so other than Thunderbolt, don't think I'm missing much except maybe a few CPU cycles.

Edit: Nevermind, I thought mine was quad core. Probably spent too much time bouncing back and forth between the MBP and the iMac. Oh well, I'm not doing any video editing or gaming, so it shouldn't matter. Looks like the bus speed increased as well.

Even hardcore fans don't know ahead of time. I did a lot of research in November before I bought mine, and the speculation was that the addition of the 2.8 option meant the line wouldn't be updated for at least 6 months. Oh well.

2010-16M is an unknown quantity at this point
Is there a difference in battery life? When I bought mine (base 15in model) last year, a 9-10hr battery life was being advertised. The ones this year all have 7hrs as max battery life.

Now thinking about selling mine through the Apple Recycling program (Thanks 65°V12) as I'm digging this Thunderbolt stuff and also want a Solid State drive.
