MAC Office 2011

Released this week. Finally fixed some of the retarded things they did in 2008

Yes, thank god. I instantly downgraded from 08 back to 04 a couple of years ago. Just installed 11 and so far I'm a fan. Granted I use Office a lot less on my MB now.

Absolutely love Mac Office 2011! Couldn't be any happier.
I use Office every day except my days off, includes Word, Excel. I use it until my fingers fall off.. well, quite literally. If I didn't have those 2, I'd be nowhere. I also love the fact that I got the free upgrade from 2008 to 2011. Got to love Best Buy featuring the TechG registration with all purchases of it!

I just got my MacBook Pro like 2 months ago with Office 2008. I ordered it straight from Apple. Can I download 2011 for free or do I have to buy it?

You will probably have to buy it.

We just bought my wife a new 27" IMac, just a few days before the new iLife, or was it iWork came out. Paid for it.

Then my friend who works at Mac, said that the new version had just been released, and even those who just bought the 08 version, will need to pay the $49 update fee.

That's just wrong.

Wow. I completely agree. I just don't know if 2011 is worth buying or not. I mean, yeah there are some things I don't like about 2008 but I'm dealing with it. I'm a freshman in college so I don't have the money for it just laying around. I would only buy it if it's a significant improvement over 2008.

This is why I choose Best Buy over the little "Apple Geniuses".
When I bought my iMac/MacBook Pro and MacBook Air from them the day, they told me to go that microsoft website I posted to get your free upgrade.
Looks like Apple never told you that... see, they just want your money. Be careful at the Apple Store. They are crooks, personally- choose Best Buy.

Have been using it for over a month now and I'm very pleased with it. The load time has been shortened a lot.
