The Best Buy experience is MUCH worse than the Apple store. You must have gotten very lucky to get a half knowledgeable sales person.

Well, I've been loyal to Best Buy for YEARS, ever since 1998 when they released their Credit Card first. I've been a Best Buy for Business customer since about 2002, I have a huge history with them and they have always done me right every time. I don't know why so many people complain, they're phenomenal.

I don't have a problem with the store per se. I buy things from there occasionally if/when they are priced competitively (aka when they put their things on sale) with established internet outlets. However, I have found the majority of big box electronics stores to have employees that do not know the products too well, and generally takes some luck to get someone who knows what he/she is talking about. This does not bother most, but I view myself as an educated tech-savvy consumer, so when I go to buy things, it is usually a quick in-and-out trip, turning down so-called 'help.'

Ah gotcha, I see your point- I agree with you..but I kind of like having their Magnolia Pro's take me into Mag and showing the receivers and what not. Those employees are knowledgeable, more so than the sales floor employees everywhere else.
