If you care about customizing at all, (I know many don't care or have the time) its like having a new phone all over again, there are so many apps and tweaks and so on to add that there isn't enough time to do it all, I've received 14GB of data so far and the phone's performance hasn't dropped at all. Rock and Cydia provide so many features that should have been on the phone to begin with, JB iP4 is w/o a doubt the most feature-full phone there is! Just curious to know if anyone here had done it and if they've had any issues, none here so far.

 

Could you describe some of the features? Or post a link that describes the benefits in further detail?

 

It's worth pointing out that jailbreaking the iPhone will void your warranty, and there's a pretty good chance at some point it'll become a brick without the ability to load software updates.

 

only if the update to 4.0.2 hasn't been done are you able to jailbreak, Simba points out a very good point and hes right, I've had my phone jb for about two weeks, you have the ability to customize pretty much anything, I was able to swipe down from the taskbar to turn on the led light, swipe left to open the camera, and etc, everything is customizable, I had unlimvideos which lets you watch any movie the day its out in theaters in good quality, much better than standard youtube quality, also it lets you have youtube in far better quality than normal, and unlimtones lets you put any song there is as a ringtone straight from the phone, no effort at all, got rid of the slider lockscreen so all u have to do is tap or shake it to unlock, rock and cydia are like two new app stores with many items you'd expect to pay for, for free. u have the ability to add another profile for say if kids or a someone wants to use your phone, they won't access your info, there are too many to list and I cannot actually go through my phone and list everything I had done, mainly because last night, it was bricked! I've had my 3g jb for a long time and never had a single issue with it, at one point I my display went out and the apple store gave me a new one eve tho it was jb, they didn't know this until they saw my screen afterwords, but I was still fine. But my phone wouldn't show any signs of life last night and everything I did lead to nowhere, I took my phone into apple today and got a new one, which is somewhat nice b/c I had a scratched to hell screen so now its a new phone, but it comes with the update, so I can't jb even though I'd do it again, I don't know what the exact issue was since I had so much put on there, but I guess I can't recommend it b/c I obviously had not done it right, it was working flawlessly and still very fast up to last night, but it did turn into a paperweight, so sorry for making a thread that can doom the phone, heres a screenshot of just an example of how I uncluttered my screen, but its a mute point now, haha.
