Applecare cover clumsiness?
I was on the phone as I lifted my computer bag out of the backseat this morning, and accidentally dropped the entire thing on the ground. Got a thick dent on the edge. Not nice.
The computer is 12 days old. Can I make a claim through Applecare?

I have done worse things with my computer while on the phone. I used to have a spot in the worst garage in town where it was nearly impossible for a car the size of my old E-class to fit in the spot and open the door at the same time. So I usually reversed out before I threw any of my stuff in. So one day I was distracted, left my computer bag behind the car, started reversing, felt a little bump and found my laptop to be slightly thinner than when it came from the factory . . .
That's the story I tell people when they wonder why I went with an Applecare plan

If they deny it, just have his brother stomp on it and bring it back. Worked perfect for me, would use stomping services again. A++++++++

Late to the party but I thought I'd chime in anyway; like mentioned by Simba Applecare doesn't cover "accidents" or other random retardedness at the expense of your Apple product. As far as I understand it's basically a hugely expensive extended warranty.
However I inquired at my insurance co after dropping my MBP, for something like €4/month they cover up to €2k of damage regardless of how that damage is incurred. So basically you can drop it in the sink while being drunk juggling midgets on one feet and they'll still cover it. Might be something to consider.
