This would be wonderful, although it will probably never happen..

While ATT is generally a screwed up company, I can see the raising of the rates from a network perspective.

They have an opportunity to expand their network and effectively sell more product. Instead, they're selling less and removing value. Stah-oopid.

AT&T is in the business of selling bandwidth. If they've sold too much for their network to properly deliver it, they need to build out the network not encourage a mass exodus.

AT&T is in for a shit storm if Verizon gets the iPhone....

AT&T will not be able to compete with them, or upcoming PCS (when they acquire LEAP, and possibly Tmobile, unless Verizon buys out PCS or something crazy first...)

This is just stupid business at work. You sell X. In this case, X happens to be bandwidth. You have a LOT of people who want to give you money for X so long as you keep the X coming. So instead of buying and selling more X, you tell everyone who is already buying X that X now costs more, so they buy less.

One wonders how someone achieves a C-level executive position in a large telecommunications company without having achieved a basic understanding of economics.

Oh well, at least I get to buy an iPhone now.
Blah, had an iPhone 3G, not that impressed. The 3G coverage is laughable, and the OS is dog slow, not to mention the inability to multi task. I mean, what is this, 1991 Windows 3.1?

Now that I have a Droid Incredible backed by a real network with actual 3G coverage, I don't miss my iPhone.

What's better? Songs are so easy to manage without having to authorize/deauthorize iTunes when I move amongst our laptops and having to sync music.

And did I mention how incredibly fast the Android OS is?

That's because you can't tether your iPhone without jailbreaking it, which is stupid.

My Droid Incredible is an actual business device that lets me make phone calls, surf the Internetz, and tether to my laptop at clients for work.
