Sorry Simba. I Need Your Help. iMac Slowing Down.

Over the last week, the computer has started to get bogged down really easily and apps will freeze momentarily whilst the computer thinks.

Its the last white iMac with the intel core ( 2.33ghz 2gb 10.4.11 ) and its got about 140gb of space left on it.

Iv'e down the disk utility thing. And I don't really have anything on it that I don't need program wise.

Any ideas?

There may be a small violin stuck inside the computer somewhere, something is rattling around in there.

What a surprise, a slow Apple computer.
Sad how 2 Thousand dollar IMac comes with 4GB ram. I built my desktop 2 years ago, not only did it cost half the price but specification wise beats every mac built to this day.

Try more RAM.

Try:
-Repairing Permissions and Disk (Disk Utility)
-Restarting
-Ensuring less programs are running in the background or start up with your computer
-More RAM (if that is an option)
-I've had good luck reloading my OS every 2+ years, cleans out all that stuff I'm not using. Maybe a time to go to 10.6?
-Move large files/folders off of your desktop
-Delete porn.

Only the most expensive one is $2k if one's being picky.

So this is what 2k would get one:

3.33GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
8GB 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 4x2GB
2TB Serial ATA Drive
ATI Radeon HD 4670 256MB
Apple Wireless Keyboard
8x double-layer SuperDrive
Apple Magic Mouse

What have you been doing with it? Last reboot? OS version? Recently installed apps?

Need something more to go on, else, check the "how to fix your mac" thread.
