I haven't used either, but from what I've read the experience is pretty much neck and neck... Probably someone else can better answer that question.

Haven't used parallels, but VMWare seems to work pretty good. I run Windows XP on my wife's Macbook using both Boot Camp and VMWare and it seems to work just fine.

VMWare IMO. I used Parallels briefly and switched back, just didn't like it as much and had problems with USB peripheral modding (iphone, ipod, blackberry). No complaints at all with VMWare, use it daily to run MS Office 2007 since Mac Office sucks balls.

^^That is really good to know...I was going to get the Mac Office...guess I'll pass and run Office on VMWare...

So, do I just buy VMWare and install XP on it...then install Office?

^ If I had a buck for every time someone said another version is coming right up when talking about computers, I'd have a billion dollars now.

There's always a new version coming up. Why bother waiting . . .

It should be coming within the next month. This is a fairly significant upgrade, going from Core 2 Duo to i7 processors, so it is not just a minor refresh.

Other than the processor, will they be changing the design or anything else?

Intel withdrew this saying it was a mistake, but all signs seem to point towards a revised line soon.
