Software I Cannot Activate!!!

Don't know if anyone can help on this or not.

I recently purchased a photography software called DXO.
It is a RAW convertor, but also does a lot of other great things like lens specific corrections, noise removal, fisheye correction, etc.

I received the Authorization Code after purchasing the software and entered it as advised.
But instead of getting the software to activate, I get a window saying I have to manually validate and initiate the software.
This window should not come up if I am connected to the internet. After this window comes up it basically quits.

I contacted DXO and they cannot figure out why it will not work on my Mac PRO.

Could there be some kind of protection on why my Mac that will not allow the software to activate?

Frustrated!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any suggestions?

Seems my Mac Pro is blocking the License File to download.
Any idea how to maybe turn off my security long enough to download the software?

Looks like the installer is broken, not the OS.

Try repairing disk permissions and activating it again.

Anyone know how to temporarily turn off my Firewall on a Mac Pro?

Figure the firewall is not allowing the software license to be accepted.

Thanks!

Unless you've mucked with it, it allows everything by default.

It's in system prefs -> security.

Chances are extremely good the firewall has nothing to do with it. The error you posted previously is an installer issue trying to move or copy a file that doesn't exist. Hence, it's broken.

Did you repair permissions as Simba suggested?

Applications > Utilities > Disk Utilities

View and repair permissions.

Thanks guys but still no go!

I did the repair on disc persmission and tried again but still the same thing.
I may just have to ask for a refund since DXO staff has nothing to offer for a repair solution.
Crap!
