Sure it is his baby, but man, they would have to have some of the best minds and designers working for them. Apple aint going nowhere. Least this gives his successor an opportunity to run the company with Steves supervision.
Precisely, which is why there should be some decent money to be made here. The FUD will drive the stock price down tomorrow in a wholly unnecessary bloodbath. Get in low, then as cooler heads prevail the stock will work it's way back up to it's former value.

I would agree in general, but I have read several reasoned and well-researched articles in Forbes, Fortune, The Wall Street Journal and elsewhere over the past couple of years detailing why they thought Apple was a much less valuable company without Steve; possibly more reliant on its leader for shareholder value than any other publicly traded company. My guess is that much of what makes Apple unique; particularly on the design side and in its ability to lead rather than follow, is tied closely to the one ego-maniac at the top.

I certainly wouldn't be a buyer at 80 right now, but it will be interesting to watch. Of course I said I wasn't a buyer at 120, 150, and 180 either. But I love the company and am faithful to its products.

Certainly Jobs is the driving force within the company, but i think the design side of the company would have some immensely talented people ( Ives ) leading the way.

If he dropped dead, they wouldn't stop making appealing products.

Not too bad today. Although, that's probably because the bulk of it happened after hours yesterday.
