Need to reinstall Mail

I have had problems with apple's mail software and have deleted the program..

Not sure exactly where to find it on Apple's site to reinstall..

This is for my new MacBook...

Thanks for any suggestions on how to reinstall this..

You'll need to use something like Pacifist to reinstall the mail package from the installation DVD.

Alternatively you can just do an archive and install of the whole OS.

In general, deleting system programs is a very bad idea. If there's a problem with something, it's most certainly not the program itself, but a buggered up preference file.

In other words, Mark, quite cowboying around with your system. You obviously have no idea wtf you're doing.

Yes, I found Pacifist after I made this thread...also found the install discs and going to start over..This new MacBook has been slightly less stable than I expected...small things but I think a fresh install is a good idea. I don't think I like setting up new computers using the Apple Utility and cabling together...I prefer old school time wasting searching around for discs, etc.

I find the best way to transfer data is to just do a fresh install of the new machine, or use it as is out of the box, and transfer your data over via firewire. Very quick and painless.
