Apple wireless question

Just got a MACbook Pro and need a little help.

My wireless network at home runs on a Linksys router but for some reason even though I do get wireless internet, it doesn't seem to work right 100% of the time. As an example if I go to Ebay, it seems as if only half of the content downloads.

Anyone know how to resolve this issue?

Though to say without further debugging. What type of router? 802.11b, g or n?

You'll want to verify all your DNS and IP settings on the Mac and make sure the linksys box is using the latest firmware.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that it is the Linksys WRT300N router. So it's 802.11n. It does have latest firmware.

I tried to google the topic but no one seems to have a real fix.

Actually, I think the problem kinda changed itself. Now it gets to the point where the wireless on the notebook will lose connection with the router. Only way to temporarily fix it is to reboot the router. But after a while the signal will drop again from the notebook.

Maybe you need an update on the apple comp? Try running the software update, I think there was an airport update quite recently.

It's possible its an airport thing, but my money would be on some kind of radio interference, or you're just out of range.

You might want to switch to an Airport Extreme at some point. Much better base station.
