Problems with laptop

So every now and again the sceen goes dark and says that my OS has unexpectedly quit and that I must restart. This happened for about two days and then stopped but now it says that my Airport card is not installed. Anyone know what the hell is going on or what I can do?

Try repairing permissions, run a verify disk through Disk Utility. See what happens with that. Worst case, you can always try a wipe and install, which should hopefully fix the problem.

Most system crashes are caused by a hardware fault of some sort. I would suspect a failing logic board. There's a hardware test application on the OS X install DVDs. See this for more info.
