Gonna be a big Apple Christmas

I've decided to give all Apple gifts to my closest friends and family..I was so happy at the Apple store and they introduced me to their business support guy..I am going to be getting discounts and not pay tax..Probably nothing huge but I do like the convenience of buying at a place where they know me, plus it surely will continue to help when I have special concerns like out of warranty repairs, etc.

I am going to probably buy 6 MacBooks and a few iTouches...and see what other things might be good..

Business sucked this year, I lost more money than all my years investing combined..Income is down substantially while expenses can't be down of course...wait, alimony dropped this month! woo hoo!

I'll never forget when I started in business a long time ago, how I would always spend more when backed against the wall. Never giving into fear and always proving to myself I was confident enough in my abilities to believe I would make it.

As I;ve gotten older, the opposite has taken place, the more money I made, the less inclined I've been to push it..(other than a Ferrari and private plane...JOKE (Stryke)..

Now that the economy sucks and I am down, I am going back to basics and f it...be generous even if it hurts..

(also buying more Apple stock, so I do have a vested interest I suppose!)

An interesting year for sure... I'm trying to convince the Mrs. that we need to take it easy this year but controlling her spending is proving an interesting and frustrating challenge...

On another note I've been traveling for a few days and haven't been on... good to see you posting again, hope you are feeling better.

Sounds like your in the right place with Apple; that's a good idea to give everyone a Mac and buy more stock. I don't care what anybody says, off the shelf, you can't touch a mac. I still have pc's holding the carpet down in some areas of the house, but that's all their good for. Can't go wrong, IMO, by investing in more Apple; just a good product.

I'll just PM you my home address for shipping, I wouldn't want the employees at work watching the UPS guy drop off 16 new IMac's just for me at home during this season of Mac Giving.

i dont see that at all...I've been buying Apple gear since forever..and imo, only the most recent laptops are all that good..I've had them all and they have all sucked until maybe the last generation and even those are weak in my opinion.

The new ones are sturdier and better made by far..The keys on my MBP from last year feel like crap compared to my new MacBook..The way the keys are attached to the keyboard on the older MBP is a joke. It is extremely complex and convoluted..

Also my MacPro Tower is built to seemingly military specifications. The difference in it compared to the G4 and G3 towers I've had is truly astounding. The differences between the old iMac and new one's is light years as better as well.

One big problem for many Apple products until hopefully recently is their poor battery performance..No competition to Thinkpad or many others. They fail often and wear out way to fast..But I think they finally have a grip on all of this.

To me, Apple is far better than ever..
