Cool. I will have to download that. Did you have to find a place to hold your phone down? I think if I put it in this tight spot in the arm rest (where it can't move), it will work.

How do you like throughput using pdaNet? Worth it?

pdaNet works great! Hard to say it's not worth it because it's easy, fast, and free

One thing I would recommend is to have the phone plugged into the wall while using the app, though, because you'll burn through your whole battery in 20 minutes.

How about just plugged into USB from the laptop? I realize it'll affect the laptop battery life, but that should work where outlets are scarce right?

pdaNet is pretty good, I preffer NetShare though, very very easy to use, and works great.
