My 24 hours with a 991 Carrera 4S

[QUOTE=MC321;1424834]Attachment 120214 In terms of exterior styling, I noticed that the Porsche does not generate any sort of reaction from the crowd. This is the dilemma of all Porsche owners because to the general public, all 911s look the same and this one is no different. Despite the aero kit, rarely anyone pays attention to the 991 which is disappointing for the average young success story who wants that attention.
Overall, after spending 24 hours with the 991 C4S, I can say that its a great touring car and it would be fun to have one as a daily driver, but it would probably get boring very quickly.

You hit the nail right on the head. The 911 is a wonderful car BUT if you something exotic or attention grabing you will be disappointed with a 911. It is a positive too. Having people chase you down when you are driving something more exotic gets old.

Great review. I agree with your points above, although I will say my 991 C2s felt a little faster in the higher gears than my 991 C4s does.
The main thing that hit me when driving them back-to-back was how much heavier the steering was in the C4s. I realize it's a RWD vs AWD thing, but it was shocking.
For a DD that you occasionally take to the track, I can't imagine a better sports car than the new 911. If you want something more hardcore, wait for the GT3.
Re: flashiness factor. I've had two F430's, a 360, and a Lambo LP560-4 in the last five years. In my 911, I enjoy not being gawked at or raced with every second by every idiot in their Neon SRT-4.
