Horacio Pagani on the 911: "Nonononono!"
by John Coyle
Horacio Pagani is the man behind some of the most gorgeous vehicles on the planet, and seeing his handiwork up close is an unforgettable experience. My memory of seeing a Zonda R two years ago at a showroom in Beverly Hills is clearer than what I ate for breakfast this morning. His machines truly look as if they've been delivered from another world. So what does the design icon think about Porsche's venerable 911? No much, apparently.
When one of Jalopnik's writers inquired about his favorite supercars at the Geneva Auto Show, he dismissed McLaren's P1, and the high praise predicatively went to Italian efforts—Lamborghini Veneno, LaFerrari—though he did mention that he likes Porsche. But his admiration for Stuttgart clearly doesn't extend to the 911, and he reported said "noononono" when asked about the legendary rear-engine sports car, so he's presumably more partial to the company's halo cars like the Carrera GT and the 918. Given the extreme nature of Pagani's designs, it's probably unsurprising that he's not blown away with the evolutionary progression of the 911's sheetmetal, but it was interesting to hear his reaction.

I have so much respect for Hoarchio, mostly because he, himself is a man of very few words and his products do all the talking.
I wish he would just stick to the same philosophy stop criticizing other car manufacturers.

The Pagani is at the forefornt of design in the world. The 911 is the most ancient design currently out. I can see where he is coming from. The p1 is also super emotionless in its design. I would have to agree with him.

If you read it all you will understand that there was a language barrier.
Now you dont even know how he understood the question to which he said nonono..
I don't think he HATES the 911.. or maybe he does?
But im pretty damn sure he is polished enough to not express it in this way.
