I'm curious to see whether the new unit from the facelift can be fitted into the older cars and if so, how much.

It won't be retrofit...it's a different size/shape. But if you already have the Dension, this BTA will handle all of your BT functionality...and the darn thing really works WELL!

I refuse to pay the price of the Dension, always have done.

Not sure I understand your last statement, but fine I guess.

And yes, you CAN get the new PCM retrofit kit. It's about $100,000 from any dealer and comes with a new '09 997 for free.
