The 997 Retrofit Thread

Ok, so here's the skinny. I love my DD 997S. I've got less than 15,000 miles on it and the new options aren't to die for IMO. Just my wish list as far as what I would like to retrofit.

It would be nice if the new PCM was retrofittable and the new LED tail lights could be retrofitted as well perhaps with a new rear bumper prerequisite.

The other options like PDK, active bi-xenons, and no rollback from stop are cool, but not enough for me.

Here's mine just as a reference point.

There are few things about the MY09 Facelifted Mark II (whatever we are going to call it ) that really get me interested.

Earlier this year I had an order in on a C4S (MY08) and ended up canceling it for various reasons. I intended to wait for the MY09, primarily because of the DFI engine. However, I ended up getting a turbo instead.

All that said, the new engine obviously doesn't do it for me, but I agree with you that upgrading the PCM would be nice...very nice indeed. Unfortunately, I doubt we will be able to get the new PCM in our "old" 997's. But I'm hopeful.

I suspect the taillights, if they are important to someone, can be retrofitted with a new rear bumper. For me, they are not.

The PCM area looks about the same, I suspect that someone will come out with a kit.

I don't think the PCM will be retrofitable (is that even a real word lol) .
