991 cabrio roof construction a big mess??

The folds do look messy. It's pretty short sighted to simply say "you don't keep your car long enough to care", well, some people do, and I'd say that most pork enjoy a lifespan of more than 2-3 years. Given they don't end up wrapped around a tree, of course. So over time messy folding like that will become an issue, unless Porsche made some improvements in the fabric, which we have not heard about.

Well, Chris ... the roll out here in CT-land is early February. I think the cars will be here before then. I have several dealers in state emailing me wanting my business. We'll see.
But, I need to look at the car. Drive the car. Then decide. I'm pretty sure we'll hook up and get a 7 spd, C2S cab. I have 3cars configured. Deciding on color mostly.

I'm pretty sure there is a used car market in North America as well. So longevity does matter, to a point.

There is, yes. But you said most folk enjoy a life span. In NA that life span is *TYPICALLY* 2-4 years. That's a fact. So if a top has been abused, and starting to show wear- is when people pull the plug and move on to another car.
