Not necessarily. I put down a deposit on the next rumoured special edition RS ages ago and got it at sticker. Not knowing is something, affirming like u do something that is wrong is on the other hand ridiculous as you say. Gotcha?

big deal, if the guy won't miss the money for the next 2 years, what's the problem here?

the next GT3 will appear eventually, and if you have a good relationship with the dealer and a deposit that just means you'll probably get the first one at that store

It's about allocation that the dealer will get when the car is finally available. I've bought the following from the same dealer at nothing over sticker.

2004 996 GT3 Speed Yellow
2007 997 GT3 RS Green/black
2010 997 GT3 RS White/red
2011 997 GT3 RS 4.0 Black/black

The money that you accumulate comes at a certain point in your life. That is indicative of what I bought and when I did so.. The 996 is now 7 years old. I want to replace it with a 991 GT3 in Mexico Blue and drive it every day. My RS's will come out on a good day. I love them for sure. The black 4.0 is a knockout and the best yet....
