Put a deposit on a 991 GT3

Putting down a deposit on a high-demand car this far out from release is pointless and guarantees you nothing. If the dealer hasn't already given their allocation(s) to someone else by the time the car hits the showroom floor, be prepared to bend over for $20-30K over sticker to even be in the running for it. Pessimistic? Yes, Realistic? Yes.

I put a deposit down for a non existing "next" RS in April 08.
My dealer did not think there would be a next RS, but if there would be one I get the first one.
And I did, my 3.8RS was build feb '10. First time I set foot at the dealership was when I picked up the car.
At Mary. When the news broke there were multiple buyers for each allocation.
There will be a next one and dertub will have the first one, unless they don't make PTS available immediately of course ;-)

Me either, that includes 2007/8 GT3's/RS and GT2 at the height of the market... We have lines starting for all of the future variants, people are getting excited!
