Dunno ... but, the 997 is certainly more 993 in styling than the previous slab sided 996.

Time will heal all styling wounds and the 991 will be found just part of the evolution of 911, I just wish the styling reflected the design department of Porsche more than that of a bureaucrat's regulation. Remember the 5 mph bumpers on Porsches in the 80s?

Porsche was never in the theme of aggressiveness.... Try Ferrari or Lambo... Porsche is always in the theme of tech. and racing genetic.... aggressive look was never in 911 desinger's mind. I suppose it draws different crowd as compared with Ferrari/Lambo... I think 911 carries too much baggages of the shape of the "911"..... If they decided to change radically (like 996), then I can already imagine what the media will criticize heavily about... so, to make a "big change" out of 40years of existing design, and keep the original genetic is extremely difficult... I must say the designer is a genius!!
