991's PSE is a much better improvment than the 997s sport exhaust... For a sportier sense from the sounds of engine. However, I do believe the aftermarket would do a much better job for those puriest who enjoys and loves the noise from the car... afterall, the regulations in different parts of the world restricted Porsche to make it more extreme.... I had ordered 991 with PSE, however, most likely I will switch to Akrapovic with full titanium pipe....

I would stick with the stock Sport choice I have tried various aftermarkets on std 911 and they weren't good at all. My PSE and Sharkwerks center were the best sounding combo to date. This is a daily type of car you dont want overly loud you want a nice symphony and when you need to use the phone or drive in peace it is capable.

I have it on good authority that the sport exhaust is not really required on the 991. They did a really good job on improving the exhaust sound on the new cars.

Edgy is right.

I just drove the new 991 S without sport exhaust and if you press the "sport" button it's really loud enough...

Save the money!
