Sport Auto supertest: Porsche 991 - Video

@ samuel,
The 991 S costs about 105k€ here in Germany only with the PDK and without anything else.
It's just that "cheap" on your side of the Atlantic...
I just configurated a 991S without any "design stuff" for the interior and got to 142k with PCCB,PDK,PDCC.

These results are impressive, but take them with a grain of salt. That C2S had every option imaginable, taking the price to 145,000€. More importantly, the suspension (camber etc.) was setup for the track with values far outside Porsche's factory settings. And I don't know what these tires were, but they weren't normal P Zeros. The wet handling time of 1:46, compared to a 1:29 of the 997.2 GT3 on Pilot Sport Cups, hints at extreme dry-performance track tires.
I wouldn't be surprised if this were true but I'm still curious where you got the info from. Did the article say so or what's your source?

Jesus, that's a lot of money for a C2S no matter which way you put it. Never thought they were so expensive over there.

The head journalist Horst von Saurma was full of praise for the chassis improvements, but he noted that the weight of the 991 (1497 kg) was 40 kg more than the 997 C2S Supertest car, in-gear acceleration got a bit worse and fuel consumption was the same. And that thing with the wet-handling time is weird, its about the worst one they ever recorded.

Yep, all in the article. SportAuto started measuring the chassis setup of the Supertest cars this year, so we don't know if all the former test cars came tuned-up as well. So far, pretty much all of them were out of alignment compared to the recommended factory settings. The facelift GT-R test car ran 2.5 degrees of camber front and rear, for example.
