Inside Line Tests the New 911

My favorite is definitely the black one with the carrera S wheels, high gloss aluminum window trim and tan interior.
And not to beat a dead horse, but after reading the accounts of the deterioration in steering feel due to the new electric steering, I'm starting to think that maybe holding out for a 991 Turbo wouldn't be such a bad decision. Previously, I preferred naturally aspirated 911s because their driving experience was so pure compared to that of a Turbo. But with the new electric steering, that pureness seems to be diminishing to the point where the explosiveness of the Turbo outweighs the comparative remoteness of its driving experience.

Well...Im always astonished when people just justify the 991s performance with the 7:40 around the ring..- which they cant prove either - in a german media the same Mr Achleitner said that:" in our internal testing with the 991S - our best lap was a 7:40.."..
This lap time is nowhere confirmed by in independent source...some people were speculating the Mcalaren would do it in 7:15..it became a 7:28 on racing tyres..
Personally - I dont believe the 7:40..just 2 secs of a 458 and a superleggera..which have more than 150hp more?
Until this 7:40 is not confirmed I dont believe anything..my suspicion with regards to the Mclaren proved to be right too..
I bet on a 7:44 for the 991S..lets see..
