Northeast PA here. Made it all last winter with an E92 M3 and a pair of blizzaks. Without the tires, no way. With, it's not too bad.
Still... in my 997 C4S with new tires, heavy rain + decent highway speed is a little sketchy. Not sure about snow. A 305 width tire is not going to be an easy time.

Yea i hear ya...my 997S with summer tires was def a little "slippery" in the rain --- in the snow -- undriveable. I am not looking to create a "great" car in the snow --- just something that can get me home if i am out and it snows a little bit thats all. I think nice snows will get that done nicely.
