Great pictures! The 991 doesn't look anywhere near as large as I thought it would next to a classic 911.

 

Interesting analysis, because I think sort of the opposite. On the 991 it seems they added a lot of unnecessary design elements to the rear, which previously weren't there on the 997 (In most pictures I hate the rear, but interestingly enough, in some pictures it one of the best looking rears I've ever seen, i.e the images of the Black 991 attached). That's why I prefer the 997's rear; it's much more simplistic. But on the front, the 991 looks better in every way, because of the fact of how purposeful and simplistic it is. The widened front track and lowered fly line also work wonders in the 991's design.
