Need transmission advice WTB: 997

I was going to throw my own masculinity jab in here too, but I'll refrain now.
The clutch on a non GT NA 997 is just about one of the nicest and easiest clutches to operate. Not heavy in the least, engagement is a bit high, but a great trans. Yes, traffic is a pain. NY perhaps worst than most (yes, I lived there once upon a time). But not an excuse to get an autobox under any circumstance.

Thicker skin. You need some.

Then you need to nut-up and buy yourself a reliable daily driver first, and then get yourself the p-car fun car. Don't ask questions without an answer, provide options and resolve!

Dudes. I prefer a manual 9/10 times but if you really want an auto because of traffic do you really suggest he gets another more boring car just because of it? The tiptronic is not as fun as a manual but a tippy 997 is still a great friggin car. I say take it cool and one day the perfect car will pop up

i'm currently leasing on a 2008 bmw 335i convertible with sports package and paddle shifter, so yeah naturally i grown within the comfort zone of an auto. but if you guys think the manual is that worth it then i'll give that a crack next time i schedule a test drive at roslyn porsche.

lol
get what you want and don't let this group of self-proclaimed epic douchiness get you down.
if you can swing it, get a 997 Turbo Cabriolet with tip; even faster than the m/t version and it's the cat's meow. Anyone gives you shit, they can eat your exhaust.
GT3/RS/2/2RS are the 'Man's Porsche'. biatchs need not apply.
