Back in a 911 - GTS that is!
WooHoo!!! Just signed the papers this morning on a new Carrera GTS 6-spd. I switched from a PDK C2S last year to the P2S, and missed that sweet sounding Flat-6 every time I pressed the accelerator. Well, we finally found the car that my wife wanted (Hyundai Equus) which allowed me to be a boy again. I will miss the interior and relative comfort of the P2S, but not as much as I missed my 911. I chose a 6-speed this time around as I enjoy the interaction with the car and better ability to hold a gear. The PDK is certainly nice, so we'll see how the next couple of years are like changing my own gears. And the sound coming from the Sport Exhaust is just hypnotic. First mod that I can't seem to figure out: are there any wheel spacer kits for Centerlock cars??? Those wheels needs to be pushed out further!
* Platinum Silver w/ Black Alcantara
* 6 Speed
* Sport Chrono
* Nav/Bose/Heated Seats
* Center Console Painted
The only problem with this whole deal is that I left it at the dealer until I return from a quick guys trip this week to Texas Hill Country. While I SHOULD take it with me given those great roads, it doesn't exactly have room for 2 sets of clubs and all the other crap (luggage, ice chest, etc).
Here are a couple of pics...alongside the P2S it's replacing. I can't believe that I'm going to say this, but I can't wait for this golf trip to be over so I can come back and get my car!

Thanks everyone. The first thing my wife asked when I called from the dealer was: "Do you see anything else that you want?" My answer was: "No MA'AM. I think mine is the best of the bunch".
I was initially skeptical about the Clear Tails, but I think they go real well with the silver metallic paint. And as good as the PDK is...I just can't get the grin off my face after a spin driving that 6-spd. I had looked at a red C4S PDK, but am so glad I chose this one...I just think it will be more fun for me, which is the point.

Only interior shots I have at this point are on the dealer site. Since those are in a Java applet, I can't figure out how to copy/save them (it won't simply let me drag/drop from the page).

Thanks. There are a few parts from Suncoast on that Panamera (Side Vents, Spacers). I'll have to see what I might want to mod on this one, if anything. Just wish there was a wheel spacer kit for Centerlocks!
