2010 911 Sport Classic in town...
#21
This looks like the Sport Classic on display at Rector Porsche in the SF Peninsula near SFO. It is privately owned. It has nothing to do with the dealership (simply there on display as a favor) and was not imported by Road Scholars. It has second built serial number, the first being kept by Porsche for someone I believe is a member of the family (e.g. one of Ferry Porsche's sons). Owner is well connected with the factory and doesn't need Road Scholars for influence in getting him the car. This was a Europe only delivery and not certified for US, where it was never offered for sale by PCNA. Can only be trailered to 'Exhibition' events and driven at private tracks, but not on public roads. Maybe some of you saw a recent article published in Christophorus and it might ring a bell. Maybe for someone else. I saw Cam Ingram at the LA Porsche Lit & Memorabilia Meet last weekend. He had a very nice '73 911 RS and a 356 A Carrera GS for sale, both parked right in front of the LAX Hilton for the event! z356
