My guess is that we should expect special editions like "Ickx Edition", "Strahle Edition" etc. - All limited and very expensive........and worst of all, they will sell

My hope is that the narrow body will die ;o)

I wonder how many dropped buying Porsche C2S and GT3 because of the narrow body....and did not buy C4S or GT3 RS instead

In all honesty, I'm a little confused with the purpose of these new editions. The Sport Classic was great albeit expensive but what about the Speedster? It looks great but it's not true to the stripped down, bargain-basement 356 it gets its name from.
The amount isn't a ton that you must spend for the card like $25k a month. It's the fact that someone would spend $300 a month so they can act the part just cracks me up.

The new Speedster I still believe holds true to it's 94,89 and late 50's predecessors. 356 made. Some nice special touches and I would have one coming if it weren't for the non manual tranny. I think it should have held to the original sticks to set it apart from the 2011 911 variants.

I don't have one personally but the Centurion black card the car's based on has a 2.5 anual fee and a minimum spending of 250 annually to get one, though I don't think they're offered anymore. I believe the joining and annual fees in HK are lower than in the US.

I would have definitely preferred the Speedsters to have only been made in stick and not included a herd of cows in the interior. I dare say an RS without the same powertrain upgrades. Just a simple weight reduction with fewer luxuries and a lower price tag. Something for aspiring high performance 997 owners. While this may eat into some GT3 sales and manual drivers represent only a smaller portion, such a car is lustworthy and doing so is how legends are created.

Porsche is spending its legacy.

I agree it's almost like they are throwing all the cards on the table in the last two years.

I think the gt3rs version is the car you talk just not a lower price tag. The 73 RS's weren't the cheaper chicken either. They had a small premium for their weight reduction. Who would have thought they would command 20 times their same year brothers.

I think Porsche needs to stop varying the 911 and just let people build off of a c2 or c4 base. This will allow them to make their premiums off of their upgrades add ons etc. Allow you to build a 100k or 200k variant. Than when you sell you would have a way to set yourself apart from others. Shit Porsche would make a fortune.

I'm not bitching. I love Porsches. I always will.

I still think they should allow people to build it their way like a Whopper
