What's your definition of limited edition?

 

when they promise to produce not more than a certain number of cars, e.g. 500 cars for the GT2RS.

 

I definately understand what you're saying. But 'exclusivity' in todays world is a Veyron or Enzo, or a CGT (although many used to bitch and moan they produced too many, and NOW look at that car. You can barely get one used.)

If you want super exclusive, you're going to pay for it. Otherwise get used to Automakers producing a few more then they said. It's a business.


Oh and 500 cars out of a population of over 6bn, ain't too shabby.

Ps. I see you have a club sport; one of my ALL time favorite cars- how many miles do you have on it Tim?

 

^^ The Club Coupe 911 has such an amazing color! I once saw the #50 Club Coupe. When I asked him how he got #50, he said the PCA picked his name out of hat, and he won the car. Talk about luck.

 

Thanks. Club coupe #13 now has about 10K miles or so, just passed 4 years factory warranty last year. Found that it depreciates exactly like a regular 997S with X51, so I decided to keep it and bought 5 years of extended warranty.

 

Honestly Tim, the club coupe carries more value, but only to a proper buyer. And NOT a trade in.
