GTS - limited edition?

Hi, newbie here who is looking to buy a 911 S. Is this new GTS going to be a limited edition or will porsche build as many as they get orders for.
Thanks.

Question

Thanks, then why the heck are allocations almost impossible to find. It seems many dealers are getting no allocations for the GTS.

Not exactly. Think of it like the Boxster Spyder; while it's part of the line-up; it's by no means on the same scale of production as the normal models.

So, it will be limited in production.

This is true.

Are you seeking a Coupe or Cabriolet?

"limited edition" sounds good, but offers no good advantage to its owner other than a subjective feeling that he owns something special that nobody else care.

It will depreciate exactly like any other regular production car.

They are usually not limited enough to claim collector status the way Porsche is making them in recent years.

I guess watches are worse, all models have limited edition these days.
