It's still a long ways away - New 911 will debut at IAA Frankfurt, September 2011 It may be a long ways away but I can bet you there will still be a flood of renderings and spy video for all those that like to speculate! Autoblid tells us that Porsche plans new generation models in 2011 with the Boxster and Cayman, and the new Porsche 911.

That's funny, last night I had a nightmare that Porsche merged with Mercedes, and they axed the 911, and instead of making the Boxster/Cayman, the renamed some Mercedes the Boxster/Cayman. It was horrible.

Mercedes and Porsche have worked in the past, and it WAS NOT a nightmare. Quite the opposite.
