Great Euro Delivery Article in Panorama

In this month's issue of Panorama, there is an article by my Rennlist cyber-friend Dan (aka Edgy01) detailing his experiences in 1977 and 2006 with factory delivery of 911s. Many of you have probably seen pics of his gorgeous 997S cab in Turquoise Blue.
If you are considering a factory delivery, I highly recommend reading the article. Dan is an enthusiast among enthusiasts!
The file is a bit large as I wanted the images to be decent quality: Click for Article (4 MB)

Wow, what a great adventure and Dan has great writing skills. It sure seemed to be a real pain regarding his paint to sample though.. That alone would add to much stress!! Thanks for posting this, I enjoyed the read Pal..

Thanks for posting. great read.

Brings up an interesting thought, which Porsche would be the "best" porsche to do a euro delivery with? I always lusted after doing it in a GT3, but that would probably be to hardcore the way i would spec it to tour europe with the GF.

Slate grey/ brown Turbo Cab 6-speed would be the pinnacle.....

Keep in mind that the roadways are better in Europe so the stiffer suspension of the GT3 would be highly effective for a European Delivery. (Of course, all bets may be off when you return to the lousy roads in the USA).

Another thing to factor in,--One of the northern German states just imposed a 125 kph (75 mph) speed limit on their autobahns the other day, citing safety and pollution for justification.

Get over there before it's too late!
