Exactly - they really do work well...

I have absolutely no problem with the buttons, except for when you turn the steering 180 or 360 degrees and hit one by mistake. Other than that its pretty practically and works fine.

If Porsche does offer paddles, I'll check it out - if they are an improvement, I'll swap. Of course, it might not matter - I might have to do it just for resale value, which is a shame. If you guys could drive a PDK car as a daily for a week, you'd be OK with the buttons, too.
exactly I thought it would be horrible to say I was pleasantly surprised is an understatement. I mean sure the paddles are sportier and you kinda feel like an F1 racer but I use my car as a DD and I don't think I wanna swap the buttons for the paddles

I've had a PDK car for three months now and I can say this with certainty that'll probably never happen

I don't like the idea that you can shift up and down from both buttons! Drove the E60 M5 last night and couldn't help but wonder how much more fun and convenient the paddles were!

buttons work well on the track but are horrible in autocross where the wheel is constantly turned rapidly. b

bottom line: Give what customer wants - not what you want to make.
