Lightbulb SharkWerks Fire Extinguisher Kit for 997 Sport Bucket Seats

Hey guys,
Some of you may have seen our Fire Extinguisher kits from a while back (SharkWerks Porsche Performance Experts in Northern California (510-651-0300)) that fit 996 GT3 seats, and I know people have asked about fitting them to other seats.

Now that we're seeing more cars with 997 GT2 Sport Seats as an option, we've re-worked the FE bracket to fit these new seats (only available on driver's side due to passenger side weight-sensor):

These pics were taken from a 997 GT2 we worked on last week.

If there's enough interest we can definitely sell this kit, so please let myself or Alex (alex@sharkwerks.com) know if this is something you want.

Thanks!

Will this work with the 997 GT3 buckets?

Hi Khalid,
Unfortunately, it will not work with the 997 GT3 buckets without modifications.

Khalid,
If you know a good shop that could do the modifications (cutting away some of the existing bracket to fit around what's already there) and depending on your seat restraint system, it is do-able. It's just not something we've done too often, but we have in the past. If you were a bit closer I think we could do it here in the shop for you... unless we open a Bahrain shop in the future (we've got several customers there now!)

I'd hate to cut-up anything to bolt it on. I don't need anymore rattles to tell you the truth.

Yeah, we'd love to have you guys here!

Ok fellas thanks for the inquiries as it seems like there are a few of you guys out there with these seats so we're going ahead and making 25 of them (they'll look slightly different to the one you see here) and I'll let you know once they're ready

And here they are! We just received our batch and sent out two today.

Here are the photos of the completed product:

These are designed to fit the new "Sport Bucket" factory seats, the optional upgrade similar to what you find on the 997 GT2.
