My in car vids from PSDS

PSDS is now using in car video capture which is sent to you a few weeks after the course free of charge....yeah, it's expensive but it's all inclusive!

The current configuration (as shown in my vids) has 1) forward facing camera, 2) fish eye view of the driver and 3) mock ups of the analog speedo, tachometer and % throttle applied and 4) a graphic of the track showing your position. My understanding from Brian is that the newer software PSDS is using will give you much more information about your driving.

While that rosy glow I had from my 4 straight days in Birmingham was beginning to fade (just a little), getting these DVDs in the mail has allowed me to relive the giddiness of being there.

I edited most of my footage down to 10 minute clips to comply with YouTube.

I also included a very very classy moment where I was driving back onto pit lane, scratched my snoz a few times, and then let out a really nice belch! I did say "Excuse Me" afterwards despite being alone in the car. I followed the comment with "Ummm, Red Bull" and "I got a little gas." It was my first Red Bull.

Oh BTW, occasionally I might say "Hi Kitty" or "Coochas" or "Mew" during my driving,...these comments were directed at my wife.

Let's start off with my classy move on pit lane:

Intro 2-Day course, two different track sessions:

YouTube - PSDS Intro Course "Follow the Leader" 1.1

YouTube - PSDS Intro Course "Follow the Leader" 2.2

Masters Course Session 1 in the pouring RAIN !!!!!!

YouTube - PSDS Masters Session 1 Pouring Rain

Masters Course Session 2 after the rain,....very squirrely going from wet to dry to wet etc. A great experience.

The school has a bunch of instructors with the chief being Hurley Haywood. Some of the others were: Cass Whitehead, Christian Coggins, Daniel Eastman, Sherman Engler, Rich Hull, James Gue, Peter Litzenberger, Keith Macintosh, and Owen Trinkler.
They were universally really excellent. I got along great with Hurley and learned that he too is a cat person. Honestly, they were all really nice people and great teachers.

Me and HH:

Owen works for my Dad.

Did you like Barber? My Dad the regular and masters when they used the 996's.

No kidding,...Owen seems like a great guy.
I absolutely loved Barber. That is a beautiful facility. Nice smooth asphalt. All sorts of cool sculptures (like the spiders). The museum is unbelievable and everything in it runs! Every day at lunch time they take out a car or bike for some spirited laps. During one lunch, there was a very cool vintage Lotus they had out there bombing around.
I'm not terribly experienced (only driven NHMS and Limerock) but I would have to give Barber a 10 score!
