Thanks for the welcome fellas. It's hard to browse these forums regulary since it tempts me to do the mods, but I gotta resist. I told myself no mods until I pay off the car completely, but I couldn't resist the Tubi. I'll be peeking in over here every so often.
Wow, I haven't been on these forums in ages. I ended up getting rid of my toys ( the 997 and Cayenne TT) when I left for fellowship. But now I'm back. I was deciding between getting back into the 997, but after hearing of the many IMS issues and really $$$$ fixes on the M97 motor, I ended up going for a 996TT with the GT1 derived Metzger motor. I definitely prefer the interior and exterior of the 997 C4S as I always thought of the 996 as the ugly stepchild but after getting a taste of those twin turbos spooling up, I was more than willing to overcome its substellar looks compared to the 997.
I am sitting here with a set of Tubis without a 997. I took them off the car when I sold it thinking that I would get back into a 997 again. Essentially it has been sitting wrapped up inside my garage for the past 4 years. I did a quick search and have found that these have sold used for about $1500 to $1700. If anyone is interested in these, I'm willing to let them go for $1500.
Hopefully I can get back to browsing Teamspeed now that I'm back in a P-Car.
