Hungry rat

Hmm, tough call since you can't prove it happened before you took delivery. In fact, this isn't really a warranty item so it's nice they're fixing it for free.

Jox, they didn't find the rat, so I presume it left after it had a buffet of plastic and wires.
You are right that it's not a warranty item and the GM had to call PCNA and insist they cover as at first PCNA said they weren't paying.
Shit happens, I guess....

This was definitely a gray area. I.e.- if a moose decided to break your windshield that wouldn't be covered. lol. It's great they're taking care of it, who's the dealer?

I've had fears about rats trashing my car so I've had poison out all over my garage for sometime. It's killed one rat so far. I don't have any pets or children to worry about getting into the poison so, it's worth having a couple open containers of poison in the garage. That Decon really works.

No, this was beyond their control. They could throw in a key-chain or a mug if they want to start off on the right foot but you can't expect them to do much more.

If you had just taken it off the lot and not parked it your resident's, maybe. Other than that, it sounds like an insurance situation too me.

Anyone have any thoughts/concerns about returning the entire f'in car and ordering a new one. People have suggested that to me saying that they wouldn't want a car of this value having any latent issues that could resurface later.
I do have proof it occurred before it was delivered to me via pictures.
