So Beverly Hills Porsche only sells cars with stock wheels on them?

I bought my 997TT from Newport Beach Porsche with 20" Techart Formula GTS wheels on the car!

Ditch that dealership. There are many more who would fight for your business.

BH Porsche is just the worst. I use their service dept because I have a 10-year relationship with the service guy and it's convenient, despite the fact that they have scratched two of my cars. At least they always paid to have it fixed. But I will never buy a car from them

Who do you work with? It's not Erik is it? I've had marginal service at best from that dealership.

Did you get your name put up on the chalkboard too??? What a joke. Some P-dealers are a joke. I drove my car into the service department last year and the guy at the service desk asked me if it was a turbo.....What???? Should have gotten back in the car and left....

Yep ATL - It's Erik I'm dealing with. What was your experience like? I'm still waiting over a month now for a replacement CTT door handle.

Barrister- Completely histerical that Newport Porsche sold you a new pcar with 20's on it, but BH Porsche is pulling the "deny warrany". Thanks for the info (and nice ride!)

Kurt,

I dealt with Erik with my 997 ownership and he wasn't particularly helpful. I'd use another dealer.

To be fair, BMW never covered Dinan modifications with their warranty. The actualy warranty came from Dinan and would match the factory warranty in terms of time/mileage. BMW did however install and market Dinan products.

I know of one instance (I used to work at a BMW tuner and know TONS of back stories and dealings) of a Dinan blower failing on an E36 M3 and taking out the motor as it blew CF Supercharger innards into the intake/motor. Dinan said they would only cover the blower and not the motor. It was resolved, but what a crappy initial situation for that owner.

Well, BMW only severed the ties with Dinan as they rolled out their own line of performance products. Albeit the BMW pieces are outrageously priced and gains are very mild, but why would they continue to market Dinan when they have their own?

I have never owned a new car, but seeing as how much I love modding, would be hard pressed to buy from a dealership who would "write me up" for trivial additions. Thats just maddenning.

Yep, Erik was supposed to order Josh & I a replacement part for the leather key ignition when Josh sold me his car and after weeks and weeks of waiting and following up, he never ordered it.

Barrister- I want to thank you my friend for arming me with good info. I picked up my pcar today and I prevailed on the issue!!

I asked the service manager what the deal is, specifically with 20's and warranty. After he could not give me a good straight answer, I hit him with your car and the fact that you purchased it direct from the dealer with 20's. I invited him to call the other dealership and verify if he didn't believe me.
At that point he gave up on the issue and removed the reference from my car's record in the computer. No more "Rap sheet" for my pcar!

Again, many thanks-
