Dealer "wrote me up" for my 20's... hilarious

Interesting story- Took my pcar in to BH dealer today for some warranty work-
Service manager actually wrote me up for having "oversize tires" on my car, meaning this fact is now noted in my car history.
Told me that "any reported rattles and squeaks will not be covered under warranty due to the larger wheels".

Is that a crock or what?

...at least he managed to say "really nice wheels"..

You can probably kiss your suspension/steering coverage part of the warranty goodbye too.

Wow that sucks..... such an ass IMO and then to have the audacity to compliment you on the wheels what a douche

Porsche dealers are very anal, I swear an exhaust system installation over here on any porsche is a bye bye to the warranty.

Kurt, have you been following the GT-R voided warranty jokes? Here's a new one: Putting dubs (20's) on your Porsche will void the warranty.

nope, have not been following- I guess same would apply for 19's on a 996??? Where does it end.. ;p

Wow, that is ridiculous. I'm worried about the same thing with my BMW. They can be a real PITA sometimes.

Hows this- My buddy had his 330i decked out with Dinan Stage II goodies at BMW of Beverly Hills. Purchasing / installing through the dealer covers all Dinan parts under factory warranty.
2 years later he goes in for some warranty work, tranny was acting up. Dealer says "oh you have Dinan software installed, we can't cover it" - Seems BMW severed their agreement with Dinan. So, even though they INSTALLED it, they weren't willing to cover it. After some hollering and yelling from my friend they gave in and covered it.

What a crock eh?
