997 DoorPlugs from BumperPlugs

Just got my DoorPlugs from BumperPlugs and all exited…

The plugs arrived on time, well packaged, and the color matches perfectly, but I don’t think it was designed for the 997 (the photo on the BumperPlugs site is of a previous model BumperPlugs.com).

Eric, is there something that can be done? Coz it looks odd covering MOST of the silver keyhole and NOT all of it…

Actually, it is installed and working fine. There is some space there so you can more easily remove it if you need to use the key.

And the plug itself has a patented design, so we cannot 'make it' larger/smaller/etc.

So the same DoorPlug design should fit all the different door handles used by Porsche?

Coz the fit on your site pic looks sooooooooooo much better than on a 997

Funny, that is a BMW handle. Yes, it fits 993/996/997 handles, and many non Porsche models as well.

BUT, if you are totally unhappy, send it back for a full refund, anytime.

QUIK 911 is an unknown quantity at this point
Thats how the ones I ordered look on my car. I wish it would cover the entire key hole like ones I got from Eric for my wifes Lexus, looks much better in my opinion. Eric, do you make larger ones? Because for some reason, the key hole of porsche's always get this dirty build up that is difficult to clean.

Don’t misunderstand me I am not unhappy just trying to understand the product and if there is room for improvement

Read my earlier post. Plug is a patented design, cannot be molded to larger cap or any other major changes.

BUT, we do have another design we've used in the past. Trouble is, even with a larger cap, the stem was too short. Go figure. Having a $20k mold made for these things just won't happen.

Wish it was easier.
