MT 0-60 numbers are a lot faster than what everyone else attains. I don't know why or how they do it.

Those S8 numbers are unbelievable. A car that large/heavy should not be that fast!

Motor Trends estimated hp from the dyno was about 575 for the S8. Not the 520 that Audi claims.

not surprised given 911 has something that other cars don't have. engine in the trunk + awd + wide ass rear tires = win.

Posted more realistic stats, well at least what I could find from reputable sources (magazines). Most are from a couple of years ago. I guess many publishers haven't decided to drop the some what meaningless 0-60/62 mph numbers for more realistic real world comparisons of 0 - 120 mph.

King of 0-60 mph, Porsche 997 Turbo S Motor Trends fastest car for 2012

what ^ said.

who really cares about 0-60mph performance anyway? when was the last time you raced someone and then got off it at 60? IMO for supercars, 60-130mph or 0-125mph much more relevant, and separates the men from the boys...

Very impressive...wonder if the 991 turbo will improve it.

Of course the 2WD McLaren being 2 tenths off is a bit freakish.
