My first tunnel

My first tunnel
On Friday, I scheduled a photo shoot of my new Turbo S with Alex Bellus. Alex is a local photographer and I am sure you have seen his photos posted here. The photos will be posted after the selection is finished.
During the afternoon we moved to a different location which took me through one of Minneapolis's two tunnels. At the stop sign just before the tunnel a BMW convertible pulled up next to me. The top was down and the driver looked over at my car and smiled. When the light changed, I slowly pulled away and he accelerated quickly. We entered the tunnel at about the same time.
Entering the tunnel I decided to test the sound of the Europipe, having only seven hundred miles on the car and following the break-in procedure, I wanted to be very careful not to exceed 4,000 RPM. Well, it took about one second to hit 4,000 RPM and then one second to hit 5,000 RPM and the SOUND was AUSOME!!! I have never heard such a fantastic sound. It was like an F16 in after burner taking off. At lower RPM, below 3000 RPM the sound is pleasant and has a little growl to it. Never having the car over 4,000 RPM, let alone accelerating to 5,000 I did not know what to expect. Stef at Europipe told me the sound really came on above 4,000 but I had no idea it would be so beautiful.
Needles to say, I blew by the BMW and when we reached the next light he did not look over. This time I had the big smile on my face.
The next 1,300 miles will tough to keep it below 4,000.
The photo shoot will be posted shortly.
