BBi Streetcup Half bar, modified x 2!
Been shopping around for a roll bar for a while now. Most of my efforts have been half-assed until recently. With a new job comes new income (finally) and more $ to spend on car stuff and future track days.
After sorting through the several options available, all of which are good in their own right, with the help of VID997 (Daren), I finally decided on the BBi Streetcup half bar. Great option that stands out for 3 reasons: bolts to the rear shock towers, has a mounting pad at the main hoop attachment point that reduces some of the load on the hardware, and preserves the BOSE sub, if you have one.
I was content with the design BBi had off their jig. But Daren wanted something a little bit more special and I just tagged along for the ride
We put in simultaneous orders with some slight modifications to their original design.
First, gussets were added at the 'X' for additional strength.
Original bar:

Modified bar

Second, instead of the single diagonal across the back, a second diagonal was added not only for symmetry but I would assume added strength.
Original bar with single rear diagonal

Above pic is my guards red bar ready to go in. Sub mounts, Profi II's going in as well.
Daren's bar is getting a color which is a little less mundane![Smile](https://teamspeed.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
More pics after I get the car back. Buttonwillow, here I come!

Finally home. Profi II HANS on the driver's side, Profi II with 3" shoulder belts on the passenger side. Need an updated helmet and a HANS device and I'm ready to hit the track. Thanks to the Betim and the crew at BBI for the metal upgrade!
Sorry for the iPhone graininess
