Usually $4,000+ so he still has the same problem - too pricey.

Did you try TireRack?
I believe they are sponsors here and normally have a wide range...

Yes, I have. Unfortunately, HREs are 'special order' and the wheel colors are limited according to the web site.

Still, the wheels are $1300 -1450 each at TR, too!

BTW, using OEM valve stems and TPS are not black. If you use dark wheels, do you just use the silver OEM valve stems?

Don't cheap out on the main thing connecting your vehicle to the road... you're not going to throw cheap parts on a Porsche, you shouldn't put cheap wheels on it either.

I understand your frustration, wheels are quite expensive but it looks like your beginning to understand that's just the way it is. Having said that HRE's are some of the most expensive wheels on the market so don't expect any deals there. Look around you can find a nice set of wheels for around 4k buy they won't be as visually stunning as an here or Adv1

Well, guys ..... I've spent most of the afternoon looking at threads here and elsewhere about wheels. And, I appreciate all the help and opinions given here and on other forums, too. Excellent information.

I've decided to go with HRE P43s in satin black (19s) for my midnight blue cab.

Here's what I face .... I typically 'rent' my cars since I like to get a new one every 2-3 years. I can write some of the cost thru the business and I like new cars. I planned to keep my present Turbo cab for 3 years and get a new one when the 991 Turbo comes out. But, as you know ... the new 991 Turbo won't be out for some time. Tho't about a C2S for a couple years, but don't think I could take the decrease in power or excitement, altho the new car is pretty nice. But, I really LOVE this car a great deal. Nicest Porsche I've ever had.

So ... I either plan to lease my present car for another 2-3 years, or buy it. Buy out is less than $80K. I have to ask my accountant if there is any advantage tax wise to do either, but leasing is always nicer when it's time to get a new car IMO.

But, I think the HRE P43s in satin black are good for my car. More sinister look, too. (I'd like to lower the car as well at some point ... my 993 C4S was lowered and looks/rides great ... but, that's another thread)

I know the 43s have been around for a while, but I like the style of the wheel.

Any thoughts on this, guys?

I love how everyone here thinks $4,000 for a set of wheels is cheap
