Car and Driver = Pay me for a good review?

I never understood why magazines give/take away points based on price. We all know what the prices are right? In this test they give a perfect 20 to the BMW, a 19 to the GTR and a 5 to the Turbo. Is the Turbo really 4 times the price of the BMW? Or more than 3 times the price of the GTR? Then why would the BMW get 4 times the amount of points for price? That part isnt subjective it's simple mathematics. If you're going to give points based on price then at least make it accurate based on THE PRICE. Weird.
I mean we all know how much the cars cost who's to say how important that part is to someone? Obviously if you dont have the money to buy a Turbo, you know it & if money isnt a consideration for you then how does a magazine tell you how much finances should count in a comparison test? Isnt it completely different based on your individual finances? Never got that.
For "Gotta have it" they give 23 to the BMW but 22 to the Porsche?????? LoL! You put those 3 cars out there next to one another and ask 100 car guys to pick the one they "gotta have" to drive off with - Do they think more guys would drive off in the BMW then the Porsche? Come on.... Seriously flawed.
All they talk about is how expensive the Porsche is. Then they say; "even if we remove the price issue from the charts the GTR still ends up ahead of the Porsche"........ But wait a second. GTR Points - 206 minus the 19 it got for price = 187. Porsche - 193 minus the 5 it got for price = 188. LoL!! Okayyyyyyyy~~~
It's to be expected. Car & Driver has always been the worst car magazine out there. I subscribe to all of them, still dont know why I keep the C&D subscription..Guess you get what you pay for at $8.99 a year. Sorry for the rant, stupidity abounds!

someone needs to send an email to the editor for their article. an m3 was not even a consideration before i got my car a couple of months ago. It was between a gtr and a 997 tt. Still ended up getting a tt despite the hype on the gtr since to me the tt is still a must have. The nissan dealer was not too happy i cancelled my car which they already ordered from nissan. oh well.
Another thing, I had both a M3 and a M5 before and the next step up was to get a 911. would never put them side by side.

Many of Porsche owners came from previous M3's, M5's or still have them. They fullfill a great niche while transitioning to the Porsche Turbo or even the C2/C4. I do not know if the R35-GTR will fill in the niche before a crossover to the Porsche Line. Time will tell.
P.S. C&D = Cash and Dollars..
